DU PhD Cut Off 2026-27: CGPA, Qualifying Marks and Selection Process

Blog

Quick Answer: Delhi University does not publish a rank-wise cut-off list for PhD. For the 2026-27 direct admission route (four-year UG graduates), the minimum CGPA is 7.5 for general candidates and 7.0 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. In the entrance test, candidates need at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST and PwBD) to be called for the interview. Final selection is 70% entrance test and 30% interview.

What Is the DU PhD Cut Off?

The DU PhD cut off is the minimum score a candidate must secure to qualify at each stage of PhD admission: the minimum CGPA or percentage for eligibility, and the minimum marks in the entrance test for the interview. Unlike UG admissions, DU does not release round-wise cut-off lists for PhD, and final merit depends on the department and the number of seats.
